On this page we take a close look at the DOHC Cylinder Head that is on the 2.4L Turbo Engine.
The pictures below are of the bare DOHC cylinder head. Which is also the same head that is used in the 2.0L DOHC found in the Neon.
The plug is kind of a wierd thing but it does have a purpose.
The picture below is what the 2.4L valve cover looked like when it was removed from the engine during the tear down phase.
Would you like that valve cover rare or well done.....I personally like them burnt to a charcoal singe rather then just skipping them across the grill.
Above is a picture of the spring compressor that we used to remove the valvesprings from the cylinder head. Somehow I seem to have lost the picture of the special tool that was used along with the compressor to help remove the valve locks and springs.
