5/01 - I Bought a 1997 Dodge Neon ACR for use in the 2.4L Turbo project rather then use the GT Neon which I want to keep as my street car. The car came equipped with the stock 2.0-liter DOHC that comes in most ACR packaged Neon’s. The nice thing about this car is it is 100% a sleeper that no Honda kiddie or Mustang guy would ever suspect and it has a few dents to make it look even more convincingly stock.
5/02 - Highline Front Fascia - I am having this installed for three reasons 1. The current fascia doesn't hang right, has rock chips, and scratches all over it which reveals that this bumper was from a teal Neon which leads me to suspect that regardless of the clean history of this vehicle that it has been in an accident at some point in it's past, 2. The current fascia has the fog light holes but no fog lights like most ACR's have which gets in the way of the turbo pipes as they come around the radiator core support going to and from the intercooler tanks, and 3. It helps add to the whole Sleeper effect that the car has going on now.
7/03 - A few more rock chips can be found on the car and maybe a few more door dings....the poor car gets no respect from anyone.
3/04 - A new patch of rust has been spotted on the beast and I am starting to get a tad concerned that the rust might take away from the stealth capabilities of the car.
5/06 - The body is about all that is left after the car has been stripped of all of its aftermarket parts.
