9/06 - Some things have changed in the direction of the project since I have decided to go with a Supercharged setup. Why did I change my mind? It had alot to do with the fact that once I dismantled the ACR it finally dawned on me that the engine wasn't the problem in the entire project. It was the turbo. The engine could take the abuse which proved that I helped build a stout power plant and if I did it once I could do it again by myself this time around. The other deciding factor was that someone else on Neons.org was currently fabricating this setup and proving that it was 100% possible to supercharge a Neon without sacrificing much more then the AC. Who needs AC with a non-daily driver weekend toy anyway? You will probably not see many pictures in this area until I actually start rebuilding the 2.4L engine and start mocking up the supercharger brackets. At the moment I am just starting to compile a list of the parts needed and books I need to read to start the planning phase of the project.
